WHy you should sign

Adjunct faculty are the essential academic workers of Portland State University. We are 1,200 instructional and research faculty members, who teach over one third of student credit hours and make up nearly 50% of PSU's faculty. We are accomplished scholars, practitioners, artists, and researchers.

We stand together for our students, our fellow faculty, and the entire PSU community to be strike ready— because faculty working conditions are student learning conditions and because we are worth more.

Since bargaining began in February 2025, PSU has behaved illegally and harmfully, offering contract provisions that further exploit adjuncts, cheapen our essential work, and threaten what we've won in previous negotiations. We must secure a new contract that defends the hard-won gains of previous union victories and improves our working conditions.
